Why Should You Monitor Google Positions?

Analyzing your website’s Google positions regularly and properly can help you run your SEO campaigns effectively. By monitoring your targeted keywords in Google, you will:

• Keep track of your targeted keywords

• Be aware of SE algorithm changes

• Learn how these changes influence your and competitors’ positions

• Take timely measures

• Keep an eye on competitors’ positions

• Timely spot competitors’ tactics

Which Google Position Tool to Choose?

You might read different opinions and reviews on both desktop and online Google position tools. And frankly, it is hard to choose which is right. Some claim that web-based tools are easier and more convenient since have no software installation hassles, and you can work from where ever there is an Internet connection. Others assure that desktop software provides ultimate control over data and security by keeping it locally on your PC.

Anyway, I am not going to support any of the sides. What I am going to do is to review three web-based Google Position Tools that I tried myself and found helpful. They are slightly different and can be used for different purposes. Here they are:

1. Google Position Tool by EasySeoTracking.

Having a simple interface, it  requires a user to enter a domain name and keyword phrase that he or she want to check. The results are revealed rapidly and show you in what position your website appears. Ranking history for each keyword is provided in handy graph form. Free and easy-to-use web-based Google position tool.
